Govt: Deadline For Tax Filing Is On Monday
“Taxpayers are reminded that the deadline for tax filing and payment is Monday, October 16th, 2023,” the Government said today.
A spokesperson said, “Those taxpayers currently registered to e-file must file and pay using www.etax.gov.bm.
“Persons wishing to register for the first time to e-file, must send an email to taxenquiry@gov.bm. This email must include tax account number, the tax account name, a contact number and the First and last Name of the person requesting the account to be set up. If it is intended that the payment is to be made by direct debit, then that information must also be included in the email.
“The e-tax portal is currently not providing email receipts. Therefore, persons wishing a receipt can print the return from the confirmation page, as it will contain the receipt details. Alternatively, one can subsequently choose to review the relevant return to confirm the submission.
“All other taxpayers, consistent with normal requirements, must submit manual returns at the Government Cashiers on the first floor of the Government Administration Buidling. Payment can be made via cash, cheques, or credit or debit card. As cashiers are currently operating manually, and given the upcoming deadline, the wait time may be slightly extended.
“Queries can be submitted to taxenquiry.bm.”
