Beechwood Medical Centre – Surgery Times


Patients can contact the medical centre by telephone between 8.00am and 6.30pm.

Patients can have face-to-face or telephone contact with reception staff from 8.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Please avoid phoning the surgery in the morning unless it is urgent as the surgery and the telephone lines can be very busy.

Please note that the Medical Centre will be closed for training from 1230-1830 on the following dates;-

Extended Hours

We operate extended hours on some weekday evenings for those patients who work and are unable to have an appointment during normal hours. The surgery also has some extra appointments on a weekend although these may be offered at a different surgery close by. Please contact reception or see the poster in the waiting area for more information.


All Saturday and Evening appointments will be pre-booked Appointments only

Evening and Weekend Appointments

We offer a limited number of evening appointments between 6.30pm and 8.00pm Monday to Friday and early morning appointments between 7.00am and 8.00am. We also offer some weekend appointments on a Saturday between 10.00am and 2.00pm These can be with a GP, a Practice Nurse or a Prescribing Pharmacist. Please book these through the reception team. The appointments will be at our extended hours hubs at the Spring Hall Practice or the Keighley Road Practice

Out Of Hours

If you have an urgent need for medical assistance but it is not a 999 call emergency situation medical advice is available on NHS 111. There is also a lot of useful advice available on the NHS UK website.

Advice on A&E Attendance

Patients with the following conditions should go to A&E or call 999:

  • Choking
  • Chest Pain
  • Severe Bleeding
  • Blacking Out

Patients with the following conditions should go to their nearest walk-in centre or minor injuries clinic:

  • Cuts
  • Strains
  • Rashes
  • Sprains

Patients with the following conditions should go to their nearest Pharmacy:

  • Diarrhoea
  • Runny Nose
  • Painful Cough
  • Headache

If you are unsure you should first call 111 for advice.
