Tyler Smith Places 21st In Vina Del Mar

Tyler Smith claimed a 21st-place finish in the elite men’s race at the World Triathlon Cup Vina del Mar in Chile yesterday [November 12].

Smith, who earned a top-ten finish at the recent Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, finished in 51min 56sec.

Manoel Messias, of Brazil, won the race in 50:48, with compatriot Miguel Hidalgo coming second in 50:52 and Peñaflor Moysen, of Mexico, placing third in 50:59.

Smith was one of two Bermuda triathletes in action, with Erica Hawley also competing.
