After being held as a drive by parade for the past three years, the MarketPlace Christmas Parade will be “returning to the City of Hamilton in its traditional format on Sunday, 3 December at 5pm.”
A spokesperson said, “The MarketPlace today announced the much-anticipated return of the traditional MarketPlace Christmas Parade to the City of Hamilton.
“After a three-year hiatus due to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2023 MarketPlace Christmas Parade will be returning to the City of Hamilton in its traditional format on Sunday, 3 December at 5pm. From 2020 to 2022, the MarketPlace organised a drive-by parade, starting from Shelly Bay MarketPlace to Heron Bay MarketPlace, priortising community safety while keeping the festive spirit alive.”

The spokesperson said, “The parade will follow its traditional route in Hamilton, including Front, Court and Church Streets. Road closure details will be announced later. Participants will include Dancesations, Gombeys, PHC Majorettes, Royal Bermuda Regiment Band, many others and, of course, Santa Claus.
