Joshua Joseph, Stefan Simmons, Tre Burgess, Shane Robinson, and their Thomas College Men’s Soccer teammates achieved an impressive 12-0 victory against Vermont State University Lyndon.
Gabriel Fortuna initiated the scoring only two minutes into the game after an excellent cross from Joseph. Joseph himself doubled the lead in the 26th minute. Then, between the 29th and 32nd minutes, Andrew Poulin, Julen Zuidervaart, and Carter Pelletier all scored, bringing the score to 5-0.
In the 36th minute, Zuidervaart made two quick assists, resulting in goals by Patrick Moynihan and Poulin in just 27 seconds. The first half ended with Thomas College in a commanding 7-0 lead.
Zuidervaart extended the lead with an unassisted goal in the 50th minute. Hunter Smith, assisted by Joseph, found the net in the 54th minute, and Jack Thompson, Isak Granstrom, and Pelletier all added goals in the remaining time.
